PAW!

Paw came for a quick 45 min visit last week.  We had a pizza dinner outside- we were all happy to see our sweet Paw & get some hugs!

Preschool Punkins

This will be my blog cram session.  

Peter's preschool class went to the pumpkin patch recently.  Peter was fascinated with the yi-yo's (tractors)... can you tell by his expression in this one... he is staring at one in the distance giving others a hay ride.

 Our hayride was PACKED- I am sure we set a record.  Lily and I were hanging on the back.  

Peter got to sit in his teacher's lap :)!

(a cute thing about Peter is that whenever we tell him he is going to school or to church, he always asks "what's my teacher's name?" even tho he totally knows the answer & loves his teacher.  I think its b/c we told him so many times early on about his teacher and listening well, obeying, etc.  And maybe b/c he has a different teacher for Wellspring and SS.  Its cute.)

 At the end of the morning there, Peter found this wagon and took Lily for rides in it- its was super sweet of him.

 Then I pulled both of them :)

 And Lily got a "big hug", then we headed home :)

Most exciting news!

We are going to be an aunt and uncle on the Dennis side!!  Remember this exciting weekend?  Well, the best news that weekend was that Jessica and John are expecting their first baby in April.  We are beyond excited.  Peter keeps talking about wanting to "hold the baby", so I know Lily will be relieved ;).
Jessica's parents were in L'ville for the weekend.  We were all sitting around after a busy day the fall festival at M&D's church.  Jessica came in and handed Mom a photo album.  I thought it was sorta wierd b/c there wasn't a big recent event to share pics of.  Then it CLICKED in my head.  I jumped out of the chair with excitement!  Of course, my parents are beyond thrilled, as are we!  Congrats J&J... Praise God from whom all blessings flow!  At everyone's insisting, they have started a blog too :).  We love you, John, Jessica, and Baby J-squared!

Travels

The girl on our way to get Peter from preschool... she's a little sleepy by then so the thumb is in.  She's my sweetie!

 Peter had a suprise at preschool pickup last Friday... Gram was there!!

 and he got to ride with her in "Pop's car" to lunch at the mall :)

Then we headed to the Catskill Mountains of upstate NY for my cousin's wedding. It was an 11 hr drive each way.  God was so good in giving us a green patch of grass at our big stops.  The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed eating outside.

There was lots of roughhousing and playing to get some energy out... my heart was happy at the site of my sweets at play!

We arrived at 1am to our hotel.  I love staying at hotels so it was a big treat for me.  I love not being responsible for any housework.  It was fun to have breakfast at the hotel with all of my aunts and uncles.  Then we headed to Matt and Joanna's for the wedding.

It was a fun little weekend together.  I wish we had gotten a family pic of us all dressed up- oh well.
