Phone Dump

My phone pics from the last month or so...

We promised our kids that if they were quiet and behaved for the Ash Wednesday service, we'd take them for ice cream... and they were!  This is BIG. Our biggest little is not skilled at or in love with sitting in church (or anywhere).    He wanted to know who his teacher would be, so I convinced him that I would be his teacher and we did workbooks the whole time.  It wasn't full-on goodness for me, but still much needed words, songs, and refreshment.  Since it was a big success, we went for ice cream at 8pm on a weeknight!

 Lily found these letters on Gram and Pop's fridge and put them together to spell her name.... all on her own!

We made a card for our new cousin and niece!!  We are so excited and can't wait to meet her.

But then it rained while our card was by the mailbox.  :(  Another one is in the works for sweet Baby Elizabeth!

 I took Lily this week for her 2.5 year well visit (really 2 yr 8mo). 

She weighs 27.4lbs and is 36 inches tall.  :)

 And I've made such progress... from the days of struggling with 3 bags to now not having to carry ANYTHING!  Lily likes to "be the mama" and carry my purse!  :)

 The Bug and I needed a little down time this morning (or rather, I did!), so we went for a breakfast date.  :)

River Weekend

Maw and Mommy took the kiddos and headed to the river last weekend (sans Daddy and Paw b/c they each had something else).

We went out to dinner at a new little pizza place... yum!  

 But on Saturday night, Paw arrived!  YAY!

Just in time to read the kids their new Dr Seuss books from Gram.

Sunday morning called for a canoe ride!

Monster Truck

Our friends, Joy and Tim, gave Peter a monster truck kit, like the one he got for Christmas from Mike's parents.  Peter asked to do it every day until it was done ;).  

He ended up taking it in for show and tell on St Patty's Day!

Birthday Celebrations

We went to Mom and Dad's for my birthday weekend!

And some of our favorite people joined us for dinner!

Peter and Lily enjoyed cake, of course!

 After we came home, Lily helped me open my gift from Mike!

 Its a beautiful jewelry box that Mike MADE for me.  He made it out of mahogany that he bought while we lived in Morocco 6 years ago (how has it been that long?! makes me feel like I need to go back!) but never finished it.  He's spent many "spare" hours recently finishing it for me.  I love it!  He came up with this name design for us when we were dating/engaged.  So he carved it  under the top of the box.  Its my name right side up and his name from the other way.  And he made a little stamp out of the design (while we were engaged) and sealed my birthday note with it.

 Kathy came over one afternoon of the following week and brought a mini birthday party to us!  Cupcakes!

Finally, Mike and I went out for a fun date night the following weekend.  I love stretching it out.  Since it was great weather, we walked up to a favorite restaurant near us!
