"Writing"
This is another something that screams at me the differences between boys and girls. And even then, how children are so individual. You get what you get. Its as much nature as nurture. So not to my credit. It kinda takes the pressure off a little when you know its not just how much you work with them. Each has their own ways and strengths, regardless of efforts.
This girl loves to "write".
How sweet are her arms and hands.
She wrote the up and down "words" and I drew "pacis" at her request.
I'm sure you wouldn't have known what those were. haha.
I wrote her name then asked her to write it...
and she did! (bottom right)
Tidbits from Our Week, Close Up ;)
Berries.
These are for Mommy, Daddy, and Kellie.
Bathtime!
last morning snuggle time
We watched TV under the condition that she sit in my lap. ;)
sweet chubby feet
We were spoiled this week with lots of date nights. We went OUT on Tues to Melting Pot (YUM- we had a coupon for a free cheese fondue and Maw was here). We had Chipotle on Thurs (small group!). Last night, Goo and Pop took the kids so we had date night in the backyard. I had leftover Chipotle and Mike had this...
and this.
Both kinda gross but I appreciate self sufficiency.
Clovey joined us.
Yesterday was Bike To Work Day so Mike biked downtown to a park where everyone met up, then had a Police Escort down to his building near the Capital.
PS- SCHOOL'S OUT!!!

Summer Birthdays
Peter and one of his classmates got to celebrate their summer birthdays this week at school.
Checking out their crowns!
After a birthday rhyme, they got to pick a treat. They each got parachute men.... evidently the hot item in the grab bag.
Their teacher let them drop them from the table.... how cool is she?!
How high can you go?
late is better than never...
We had a great Mother's Day.
Mike was Super Husband and pampered me all weekend.... so much so that he said he may need a second weekend after the weekend. A mother's work is never done. It was a really relaxing weekend for me. On Sunday, the Andrews came to hang with us for the afternoon. Mike and Tim fixed a delicious lunch for us.
The kids took turns on the swing after lunch.
Four Boys
How high can you go, Peter?!
So high your feet are touching the Sun!
Luke gives it a whirl.
And the ever-happy Isaac missed the excitement this year, but he'll surely be in the mix soon!
Thanks, Andrews. We had FUN!
last morning
Its my last preschool morning of the year with only this little girl. Next year she will go two of the three mornings that Peter goes. But this year, I've had her to myself three mornings. Oh, I can hardly stand it. It has been a JOY. I can't even express how delightful this child is. And how I thoroughly enjoy my mornings with her (especially the ones that we don't run around getting things done). There is something kindred about her that helps my soul. I think I'll go stare at her and soak her up for the next hour til preschool pick up.
