More NY

I couldn't get something more exciting up quick enough after that last post.
After working out some issues with the beloved Picasa, here we go.  More pics from our time over the 4th with Mike's (and now my) family.
Bennett is 4 mo older than Lily.  The two of them are sweet pals and really enjoy each other!
M&C have a really cool bike/walking path near them.  The "middle cousins" had fun on their balance bikes.
Aunt Carrie had lots of fun treats for the kids... including these yummy OutShine popsicles.
 Brothers Diving!
 Brother and Sister Jumping!
Goo/Gram has some magical powers with her reading.
I loved this of her and her three boys.
And two of the three girls...
We joked that L&P were our little teen boys hiding out in the basement with the iPad.
 Ballet lessons from Aunt Carrie.
All of the cousins!
I think I posted this already but I think this is my all time favorite pic of Peter.  Its soo him.  The boy loves being silly and joking.  I think he takes after his Daddy.

forms

Just sayin'... If you can just check normal, it makes things a lot quicker.
It humors me that I've mentally noted this so many times that I have lots of pics of forms on my phone.  It must help me mentally to document the extensive forms.
Paperwork when you have a medical history takes a while.  And for heaven's sake, I can no longer remember every detail of my child's infancy, like when he "rolled over both ways" or "ate with a spoon" (and is that when he was willing or when I was willing) and I certainly don't know what to write for "In ONE sentence, how would you describe your child".
We are going to a new OT place tomorrow.  I am very excited (for real).  But the paperwork most definitely does NOT excite me.
I am not complaining.  I am full aware of how good we have it.  But for the world to know, it should not be (and is not) taken for granted when you can just check normal and move on.

Three Turn Four

We had a group party this eve for the three girls.
The best part:  it wasn't at our house.  After I decided to make the three skirts, I thought it would be fun to have a little party.  So I convinced Emily to host it!
Isn't everything lovely?!
(Hypothetically, I'd make some collages for this post to condense the pics but I am much too tired for that.)
Kid Tables with Crayons and Bird Coloring Sheets.
"Party This Way!"

 Making Favor Bags.
The three girls turning four...
Coach G was in charge of games.
Duck Duck Goose
 Red Light, Green Light
 Simon Says
Keeping it simple with some pizza :)
Cake Time!
 Make a Wish!!
After it was all over, we put a movie on for the kids and put our feet up with a cold beer.
Thankful for these sweet friends to walk thought life with!!

Birthday Girl :: 4

Our girl turned the big 4 on Saturday.
We had a great time celebrating with the P's in NY at "Bennett's House".
The day started off with a walk to the Little Red Lighthouse.
But first, we found a truck with her name on it. :)
...and then a view of the Great Gray Bridge.
Lily wore her shirt and skirt that day that I'd made her.  It made me happy.  She looked so cute.  She and Bennett are quite the pals.
Since Lily wants her hair to be longer, Goo found this pony tail holder with ribbons... perfect!
It was a warm day so a ride on Daddy's shoulders was in order.
There it is!
And upon hearing that Goo is about the read the book!!...
Movie time while the grown ups had lunch...
I set up for the party...
And the kiddos napped.  You know there has to be a birthday nap pic...
And all of the party goers... Becky and I in our matching cover ups!
Isn't her cake CUTE?!  I loved it!  An ice cream cake from Carvel!
Then pool time!!!....
and cousin picture time!!
Lily was directing the boys in these pics about when she wanted them to splash with their feet b/c she was the "birthday girl" and so in charge...
Family Foto
Then Pizza Time, Lily's Request.  We were happy to oblige.
The kids picniced and told jokes the whole time.  I couldn't resist lots of pics of it.  Look at Peter's laughs in each pic.  The boy loves some jokes.
 The older boys...
 the middle cousins...
sad that I didn't get a pic of the baby girls to go here!  :(
Many rounds of of sharks and minnows...
And possibly Lily's favorite part of the day.....  Anna is quite the flirt but she likes her mama.  I guess the whole time she'd been wanting Lily and Peter to hold her, not the other grown ups who were trying to!  Lily was quite pleased!!  Can you tell?!
Peter got in on the baby holding.  He had quite the way with her and held her, them just looking at each other for the longest time.
This one's a little blurry but he was so gentle and fun with her.  She loved it, too.  :)
Such a fun birthDAY with family and cousins!!
Happy 4th Birthday, Baby Girl.
We love you to the moon and back.
We can't wait to see how you blossom as a four year old!!
