Mom, Lily and I made the drive up the east coast to Cape Cod last weekend to visit Aunt Bettie and Uncle Ray. Lily did great!! She had a treat bag from Goo, a new stamp set, and only about a half hour of the iPad.
a truck with Mike's initials :)
On Friday, we went to see Justin and Molly and meet baby Georgia
(or Georgie, as Lily called her).
Loulie and Lily had such a good time together.
Loulie was SOO sweet to Lily.
Aunt Bettie with some of her girls
Sweet cousin in love, Molly, in the background. I'm sad we didn't get a picture together.
We don't get to see them nearly enough.
Sweet Juicy Justin (sorry Juice!) with his beautiful new girl!
Back at Aunt Bettie's, Lily squeezed in some TV time. ;)
Her sweet profile...
Nakie, nakie...
showing Bettie the ropes of the iPad
my fave pic for some reason... its so childhood, and those sweet legs.
Aunt Bettie's house reminded me of my grandma's house so maybe I could imagine myself back there thru Lily.
Aunt Bettie picked up this fun turtle pool for Lily (and her grandgirls).
Lily had a BALL!
Saturday we went to a party for Ray's Uncle. Loulie and Justin came along. L&L had a blast together again.
I love Lily's happiness in the hanging with Loulie. :)
Cake Break :)
They finally got to go for a swim but we hadn't planned well so Lily wore Loulie's top and her undies. :)
How sweet are they!!
On Sunday, we visited the lavender farm there.
Lily wasn't so into getting her pic taken.
Somehow I tricked her enough to get a few.
Lily and I headed to the beach with Uncle Ray!
Getting water in her pail...
... for Uncle Ray's feet!
The dogs had a good time on the way home...
they were shy to show me their faces... but finally came around ;)
And finally back to VA and Mike's old stomping ground. I thought we were about home. But it only felt like 4 more days to get home from there...
We had a blast! (all but the last 3 hours of the drive each way! blah.)
What sweet girls!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of Lily in her big floppy hat! It's a framer..
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun but oooh too short a time!! Thank you so much for coming all that way for just a long weekend. We love you all and miss you. Aunt Bettie the Great.
