TCI: Day Three

Who's tired of these pics yet?
On our third day, we went out to see the sunrise from the pool area of our resort.
We packed up for Chalk Bay and Sapodilla Beach (bottom of top map).
We drove along the deserted roads that parallel the beach roads near NWP.
Woah, a flamingo!  Then the road dead ended and we headed back to the main road.
Eventually, we made it to Chalk Sound.  Wow.
We drove up the little piece of land on the southern side of the Sound.  Check out the views... breathtaking!
We finally made it to the beach!!  The water was really shallow for a long way.  So there were lots of families with children.
We snorkeled the waters there at Sapodilla.  Mike went off by himself and then came back to get me.  He told me I HAD to come out with him to a capsized boat he found.  I reluctantly agreed... but then EEEKK!!  YIKES!  This boat gave me the weebeegeebees!  (We then climbed this hill and got these pics of the boat.  It was just a creepy from that point of view!)
Mike showing that he conquered the boat!
Another view looking over at Chalk Sound.
That afternoon, we drove to Coral Gardens.  We had a mid afternoon snack meal at Somewhere... drinks and shared fish tacos... YUM!!!
Then we snorkeled the coral at this roped area (and saw a sea turtle!).
I love drying out on the beach in the sun!
We did a little more strolling around the town that eve with some ice cream for our "dinner" (and probably avocados back at the resort :) ).  Another amazing day!  I was just thankful for the gift of feeling like each day was nice and loooong.  We did so many fun things and enjoyed the adventure of exploring the island together.
