Lily and I headed out for dinner together last weekend! Being with her can really fill my tank. Sometimes, I think I need to spend more purposeful time with her. She is so sweet and excited about life. We each got smoothies and dinner at one of my favorite places with outdoor seating. Yum! I was thinking this could be a really fun mom-daughter tradition with some of our close friends joining us... ???
Afterwards, we headed out to a fabric store. I had in mind a little something that I wanted to sew for her for her birthday. Its good for my mental health. ;) And a fun excuse to re-try a couple new "skills" I learned in sewing class this year. This is the fabric she picked out... cute, huh?!. She told me earlier that day that she wants a "bird" themed party... so we ran with that. I love colors and usually feel like I have a hard time narrowing it down when I am deciding on a party theme. She reminded me of myself in the store b/c she just kept getting excited and saying "Oh, I like it all, Mommy! Its so hard to decide!"
Its been really fun working on it this week. :)
