We ventured down to see Maw and Paw. We had a few free days without anything on our schedule. And isn't that what you are supposed to do with the luxury of schedule free summer days?
We went out to lunch, did a little shopping, visited with Maw's friends. The next day we did a little school, then I took the kids out for a bike ride while Maw went to work. I love the days when I can engage with the kids more (often its running around or things that need to get done). I love seeing them learn and grow... both in letters and biking. It really is so amazing to watch.
We stopped off to check out the cool tractors and equipment in this field. It is so fun to have a country outlet. I remember going to the "city" when we were growing up. Since we live in the city, I'm glad we can go visit grandparents in the "country" and let my kids experience the fresh air and wide open spaces.
We made it to the end of the road. I think we are getting closer to needing to try a real bike for Lily. She gets tired of her feet on the ground.
Heading back home... But the girl was done.
I carried her bike. I had him press on and he really did amazing with some encouragement.
On the home stretch... They were so hot and tired.
Finishing off the last leg!! Go Pete!
Sprinkler Fun!
My little hammock frogs...
Daddy came down and the guys camped.
Maw did the girl's nails..
Who knows what they were pretending but it doesn't appear they were happy to be found out.
A Classic Peter face. Its sorta cute.
